What is DTF?

The latest printing method for garments is now available at Weprintanyhood. DTF stands for “Direct to Film”. It is a new technology for printing DTF transfers to heat seal onto garments.

Using our new dedicated printer it prints the design onto a special PET paper. We then apply a powdered glue and cook it to melt it to the ink. The DTF transfer is then ready to send out to you for heat pressing onto your garment. With a softer feel than vinyl, it is stretchy and won’t crack. We print and supply DTF transfers to the trade at special trade prices.

Heat Press Settings

Cottons – set press to 150 degrees to medium/heavy pressure

Polyester – set press to 140 degrees light to medium pressure

Place transfer on the garment and cover with application parchment paper

Press for 10-15 seconds maximum

Remove backing when the transfer is hot / warm

Cover with parchment paper and re-press for 5 seconds.
